Opportunies abound for your daughter to play more lacrosse and improve her game!  Camp, Clinics, Club, training opportunities.

First and foremost, use your stick a lot!  Play catch.  If no one else has a lacrosse stick, have your partner get a baseball/softball glove.  Throwing against a wall is also very helpful (with your protective gear on!).  As you get better try to get closer and throw straight at the wall with your stick up in a high "high 5" position.   Wouldn't you like to see a rebounding wall in Milton?!  Demonstrations on YouTube: Denver Women's Lacrosse Stick Work Session #1 - YouTube & Denver Women's Lacrosse Stick Work Session #2 - YouTube

MYL doesn't endorse one program but provides information as it is made available.   Additions will be made over time, so check back!

2019 MHS handout to incoming and returning players is under the Documents tab on the homepage.

2019 Summer and beyond opportunities:

  • Try local colleges!    Many have a camp or clinic.  It is a great way to see a college!  Some suggestions:

Babson College

Boston College: Coach Acacia Walker . http://abcsportscamps.com/bcwlax/

Stonehill College:  Coach Katie (Lambert) Conover  past link http://stonehillskyhawks.com/camps/Glax/home

  • Other local opportunities:

League opportunities: generally small sided games indoor and outdoor

Achieve Lacrosse:

Fall/Winter Indoor Sat. leagues, 3 sessions  http://www.achievelax.com.  Closest location - Canton Sportsplex

Summer League: at Milton High School turf field    For: High School and College/Club Divisions    ask about free agent registration

Framingham pickup league:  Inquire with Mass Mavericks

*Club programs :  Mass EliteLaxachusetts, Mavericks, Revs, StormBoston Aces... (each has a link) Tryout registrations and tryouts vary.  There are some great programs.  Reach out to your daughters teammates or coach to see if they have any suggestions.  Compare notes.  Carpooling always helps with these club programs!  Please do not feel pressure to join any specific team due to any affiliation to a youth or HS coach.  This level of lacrosse needs to work within your family!
